Barbara Ann Douglas

Barbara Ann Douglas, 89, of Brevard, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025. A native of Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Richard Hoffman and the late Bernice Hausmann Hoffman. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her son, Bret James Douglas.

A devout Catholic and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, she loved to travel, particularly to the National Parks. She enjoyed water skiing, hiking and tennis and she supported P.E.O. for women’s education.

Her greatest joys came from her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandson.

Her loving survivors include her husband, James K. Douglas; their children: Brian Keith Douglas (Ellen) and Bruce Norman Douglas (Val); grandchildren: Lindsay, Derek, Erin and Eliott; and great-grandson Nolan.

Arrangements for the memorial mass to be held for Barbara Douglas will be announced at a later date.
