Betty Earlene Edwards

Beverly Earlene Edwards, 85, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on January 2, 2025. Born in Pensacola, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Alma Dyess Cloud. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Gilbert Simms Edwards, and her son-in-law, Rick Shaver.

A true “Child of the King” as she would often sing, she had been president of the Christian Woman’s Club both in New Mexico as well as Brevard. She loved her Lord. She and her husband traveled and lived in a number of places including Las Cruces, New Mexico as well as Brevard and Pisgah Forest.

While she enjoyed many things, she truly loved her family and planned to see them all in Heaven someday.

Her loving survivors include her daughters, Janet McCall (Audie) and Debbie Shaver; grandchildren: Jordan Clark, Josh Shaver and Lacee London (Dale); great-grandchildren: Zach Clark, Maverick Shaver and Lou Shaver; her sister Sharon Slocovich (George); and nephews David, Clay and Curtis.

Services will be held in New Mexico in the Spring.
