Brandon Michael Zerressen

Brandon Michael Zerressen, 28, of East Flat Rock, NC passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Carolyn Bedgood and paternal grandfather Bernard Zerressen. He is the son of Michael and Marlies Zerressen.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 4 ½ years, Samantha “Sam” Zerressen, three sisters: Kristen Zerressen of Richmond, Va., Caitlin Withington (Ben) of Pasadena, CA, Jillian Campbell (Jasen) of Pensacola, Fl., a niece Sylvia Withington, a nephew Tide Campbell, maternal grandfather Gary Bedgood of Pensacola, Fl, paternal grandmother Kathleen Zerressen of Atlanta, GA.

Brandon graduated Brevard High School in 2015. He was very passionate about the Arts Programs in school. He was a part of Chorus, Theater, and Advanced Art. Brandon was also on the Varsity Soccer Team. He attended Blue Ridge Community College. His focus of study was Photography and Arts.

Brandon had many talents and passions. He was a very talented musician, singer and songwriter. He was a worship leader alongside his wife for many years at NEXT church of Brevard. Music played a huge part in his life and that was how he expressed himself. Brandon’s other occupations included hospital security officer, and a funeral attendant for Moore Blanchard Funeral & Cremations for several years.

Brandon loved spending time outdoors exploring the beautiful Western NC mountains where he was born and raised. He loved to take scenic photos of nature and animals, listening to audio books, creating art, and playing video games with his friends. Brandon had a heart for serving people. He had a way of making things better for everyone he knew. His passion for serving others led him to pursue missions in our local community and abroad. He specifically served in Honduras and Nicaragua with Living Out Your Faith Ministries by supplying access to clean water and food supplies, installing stoves with proper ventilation, as well as providing music and bible teachings in Spanish to the local communities.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 20, 2025, from 6PM – 8PM at Moore-Blanchard Funerals in Brevard, NC.

A Memorial service for Brandon will be held at 2:00 PM, March 21, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals with Pastor Doug Bedgood  officiating.
