Brenda Howard

It is with sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Brenda E. Howard, on 11/19/22 of Brevard, NC.

Brenda was a graduate of Brevard College and UNCA with a BA degree. English/Grammar was her expertise. She enjoyed teaching pre-school age children and helping grandchildren with their school papers. She was an avid reader who felt there was always something to learn.

Brenda was predeceased in death by her parents Stanley & Farabee Lotts Howard, husband Reubin Rackley, brother Murry Howard, and son Jeffrey M. Abshire.

She is survived by husband of 6 years, James Sellers, son Jackson Abshire, daughters; Hope (Stacy) Todd, Julia (Gary) O’Shields, Jewell (John) Wright, and Farabee (Chris) Stanley, brother Merle “Pete” (Becky) Howard, sisters; Shirley (Richard) Hundley, Rebecca (Brenard) Campbell, and Sandra Howard. Grandchildren; Myron, Marty, Chad, Krystal, Joshua, Lani, Link, Nioka, Tara, Jacob, Hunter, Eli, Leanna, Kristopher, Emmily, Casey, Andrew, Allona, Alleah, Elizabeth, David, Isaac, and Aaron. Along with many great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.
