Brian Albert “Pops” Lovvorn, 74, of Horse Shoe, passed away on April 13, 2026. A native of Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Roy Lee and Virginia Brown Lovvorn. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Lovvorn.
An Eagle Scout as a youth, Brian became a master electrician, working on both residential and commercial properties during his career which was best typified by his saying “Whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability.”
He enjoyed target shooting (mostly televisions) and old-time rock and roll, particularly “The Byrds” from the 1960’s.
His survivors include his wife, Cindy Lovvorn; his brothers Larry Lovvorn (Linda) and Lee Lovvorn (Nancy); his beloved children and their families.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 3PM to 5 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Appalachian Mountain Taproom and Brewery, 46 N. Mills River Road, Mills River, NC 28759.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Peggy Lovvorn Scholarship Fund c/o CFHC, 301 S. Main St., Suite 200, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
