Cernullia Ruth Gooden, 75, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at her residence.



A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ruth Owen Long. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Dean Gooden; a brother, Vernon Long; and a grandson James Allen Moody.



Mrs. Gooden  is survived by her daughters; Ruth Ann Brown and husband Hayward and Esther Shook both of Brevard; a brother, Ted Long of Brevard; sisters; Gaitha Smith, Margaret Chappell and husband Bob of Brevard, and Delma Dorn and husband Johnny of Canton; grandchildren, Latisha Galloway and husband Joey, Walter Anthony Owen and wife Samantha, and Kayla Marie Owen all of Brevard; great grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Moody, Abigail Summer Marie Hubbard, Lisa Ann Galloway, and Bryce James Allen Moody, and many nieces and nephews.



A private Memorial Service was held.
