Edward Paxton

Edward Clinton Paxton, 75, of Brevard, passed away on August 5, 2018. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late A.M. Paxton, Jr., and the late Marie Moore Paxton.

A volunteer with the Brevard Fire Department for 28 years, he also enjoyed his work as a volunteer with the Transylvania County Sheriff's Department and was a member of the VFW. He loved the outdoors and his garden, and cooking for his family; but he truly enjoyed fishing, whether deep-sea fishing, off the coast, or off a pier.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patsy M. Paxton; son Jeff Paxton and his wife Tricia of Brevard; grandsons Tyler Paxton, Colby Paxton and Chaz Paxton; his brother Dickie Paxton of Rosman and his sister Katherine Gainer and husband Tom of Pisgah Forest.

The family will receive friends from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, August 10, 2108 at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a favorite charity.
