Eula Mae Holden

Eula Mae Holden, 86, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. A native of Pickens, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Truman and Georgia Marcus Brissey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Ward Holden, Jr., and her brother, Kenneth Brissey.

A long-time member of Anchor Baptist Church in Pisgah Forest, she was always involved with her church family. She enjoyed reading, tending to her flowers and being outdoors. She was very competitive, particularly while fishing with the love of her life, her husband of 66 years, Jerry. Taking care of Jerry was her passion.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; her son Wade Holden (Sheila), grandchildren: Coy Holden and Brooke Taylor (Dustin); great-granddaughter Oaklynn Taylor; and her brother Tommy Brissey (Penny).

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery in Brevard. A service to honor her memory will be held at Anchor Baptist Church at a later date.
