Frances Parris Siniard

Frances Parris Siniard, 94, went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2026, where she was reunited with her beloved husband of 72 years, William Hugh "Vella" Siniard. They were married on Christmas Day in 1949, beginning a lifetime of love and devotion to one another.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Julia Parris; her brothers, Richard Parris and his wife, Betsy, and Bob Parris; and her sister, Ann Parker, and her husband, Vella.

Frances was a devoted founding member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church, where she faithfully sang in the choir for 60 years and served in several administrative positions. Her faith and commitment to her church were an important part of her life.

Above all, Frances was a devoted homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and an amazing cook. She was especially known for her cream corn, a favorite and the most requested dish at covered-dish meals and family reunions. She found joy in gardening, canning, making jelly, and caring for others. Her generous heart extended beyond her family and church through her volunteer work with The Bread of Life and The Book Mobile.

She is survived by her children, Bill Siniard, Jeff Siniard, Nathan Siniard (Juana), and Beth Siniard Justice (Jeff); her grandchildren, Janahia McCall, Carrie Siniard (Susie), Trent Justice (Emily), and McKenzie Justice (Connor); and her great-grandchildren, Skyler Brown (father Chris), Beckett Justice, Colton, Kinsley, and Cashton, and sister-in-law Sharon Parris Yates (George). She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to CarePartners of Asheville and Transylvania County Rehabilitation Services, CarePartners Home Care and Hospice, and her niece, Lynn Ferguson, and nephew David Siniard for the love, kindness, and support they provided.

A memorial service celebrating Frances’s life will be held in December, with details to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Timothy United Methodist Church or Oak Grove Cemetery in Brevard, North Carolina.

Frances will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for her family, her generous spirit, and the many ways she touched the lives of those around her. Her legacy of love, service, and cherished family traditions will live on in all who knew and loved her.
