Garry W. Miley, Sr.

Garry W. Miley, Sr., 72, of Brevard passed away on May 21, 2025 and is now forever young. Born in Quincy, Florida, he was the son of the late Winton Clyde and Lorraine McCaplin Miley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Joy Miley and their son, Garry W. Miley, Jr. as well as his aunt and uncle, James and Adell Shepard, who raised him.

Garry proudly and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

His survivors include his sister, LaVerne Aikens, four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friends Rachel Ayala, Ken Schmitt and William and Sheila Lusk.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on June 10m 2025 at Grace Church in Brevard. Military Rites will be presented by the United States Marine Corps and The Transylvania County Honor Guard.
