George Mazalic

George Allen Mazalic, 71, of Etowah, passed away on September 3, 2022. A native of Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late George and Betty Rice Mazalic. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Pamela.
A United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam, he worked in the coal mines immediately after his time in Vietnam. He and his family moved to Western North Carolina, making it home in 1990. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest.
