Geraldine Burnette (Babaw)



Pisgah Forest - Geraldine Burnette, 77, of Pisgah Forest, N.C. passed away  Thursday, November 15, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was a daughter of the late Garrett Abel and Gladys Griffin Propest.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Glen Burnette and their son William Scotty Burnette.

She was a loving mother, Babaw, sister and friend to many with giving hands and an open heart. She love many and will surely be missed.

She is survived by five daughters; Glenda Ann Burnette, Sharon Kaye Burnette, Lisa Gail Burnette, Melodie Lee Arnette, all of Brevard, N.C. and Angela Lynn Anders of Keller,Texas, one sister; Dorothy Cockrum of Brevard, N.C., one brother; Tommy Propest and wife Kirstie of Enka, NC;   11 grandchildren,  ten great grandchildren and  several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, 1:00 PM, November 16, 2012 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
