Jack Kenney

Jack Melvin Kenney, 71, of Penrose, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Charles F. George V.A. Medical Center in Asheville. A native of Athens, Georgia, he was the son of Lorene S. Kenney and the late Robert S. Kenney.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served 9 years with tours in Korea and Germany. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Besides his mom, he is also survived by his son Kyle Kenney (Andy); granddaughter Brooklyn; his sister Barbara Russell; nephew Wesley Russell (Laura) and former wife Carolyn McCall Kenney.
A memorial service for Jack Melvin Kenney will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. Timothy United Methodist Church with Rev. Ann Duncan officiating.
