Jose Antonio Soto Cruz

Jose Antonio Soto Cruz, 63, of Brevard, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023. A native of Puerto Rico, he was the son of Anna Maria Cruz Gonzalez and the late Jose Alberto Soto Cruz.

He was raised in Christian faith. He was a guard from the Congregation of Mita. From his youth he always showed patience, even in hard times. Jose had a funny personality, and made people laugh. He was humble and simple. Jose Antonio was a helpful person and was loved by the community. He had a passion for technology, and achieved an associate degree in computer programming. He loved his wife Esther’s homemade pastries. Jose (Papo) was a loyal husband and a caring loving father.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Serrano Baez; his mother, Anna Maria Cruz Gonzalez; his daughters Luz Maria Soto Padilla and Esther Soto Padilla, and sons Eliu Soto Serrano and Isaac Soto Padilla; grandchildren Ruben Soto and Anthony Santiago; brothers and sisters: Rosa Soto, Luz Maria Soto, Noemi Soto, Esmeralda Soto, Jose Soto and Olga Soto; and his in-laws, Jose Angel Serrano and Ruth Baez Castro.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations with Rev. Luis Batista officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
