Judith Ann Hollenack, 79, of Brevard, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023. A native of Danbury, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Marjorie Sperling Armstrong. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Carol Hoefs. Her loving survivors include her husband of 54 years, Bill; sons David Hollenack (Neci) and Paul Hollenack (Elizabeth); 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her sister Pat Sutton, and her brothers Bill Armstrong (Linda) and Kelly Armstrong.
A career Registered Nurse, she was a passionate caregiver to those in her care for over 40 years. She also served as a Hospice volunteer after retirement. She was always there when anyone in her neighborhood needed assistance.
She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Canada and also Scotland and Ireland. Her European travel included a 6 week tour (before Bill) with her friend Mollie and river cruises with her husband Bill and their cruising partners Nancy((Bill’s sister) and her best friend Dona.
Her greatest enjoyment came from her family: her husband, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sharing stories and being “The Intimidator.” She did not think she was intimidating, but when she spoke the family listened. No one wanted to displease her.
She loved the beach, enjoying vacations in Stone Harbor, NJ with Bill and his siblings Jack and Nancy. Living in Brevard she enjoyed hiking the mountain trails and kayaking either on the rivers and lakes or the backwaters of the shore.
She will be best remembered by many for her smile and that bit of “feisty” that made us smile.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sharing House or Bread of Life in Brevard.
A Memorial Mass (with visitation time the hour proceeding will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Shawn O’Neal officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
