Brevard - Karen T. Covington, 48, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at her residence in Brevard, NC.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County she also lived in Transylvania County, she was a daughter of Wanda Baynard Justice and the late Norman Leonard Thrift.

She was a member of the Baptist faith Karen was a kind and loving soul and will be missed deeply.



In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter: Michelle Conaway of Arizona, a son: David Brent Covington of Brevard, two brothers: Daryl Thrift and Sherry of Fletcher, Larry Justice of Fl., three sisters: Darleen Sprinkle and James of Marshall, Anetta Peters and Thomas of Hendersonville and A J Phillips and Matt of Edneyville, three half-sisters: Christy, Suzanne and Megan Thrift all of Brevard, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2009 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends 6PM-8PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
