Marie Neill

Marie Smith Neill, 93, of Brevard,NC died March 22, 2013, at The Oaks of Brevard.

Marie was born in Brevard, NC to the late Thomas Steven and Sallie Corn Smith. She graduated from Brevard High School in 1937. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, four brothers and four sisters.

On June 30, 1950, Marie married Roy E. Neill, also from Brevard. Since Roy was Chief Warrant Officer with the US Navy, Marie and Roy traveled extensively, but the mountain of Western North Carolina was always home to them and they returned to Brevard in 1998 to be near family and friends.

She is survived by nine nieces and three nephews.
A Celebration of Marie's life will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Easter officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.

Marie's warm smile and twinkling eyes will be greatly missed by her family but she will always be in our hearts.
