Melva Ray Hearndon

Melva Ray Hearndon, 80, of Rosman, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025. A native of Moss Point, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Leroy and Edith Kenmar Hearndon.

Having retired as a quality control inspector, he was a 33rd degree Master Mason, Dunn’s Rock Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing, but his greatest love was his wife and family.

His survivors include his wife, Sheila Hearndon; their children: Angie Boykin (Steven), Tracie Rood (Robert), and Jon Hearndon (Sloan); 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren as well as extended family in Mississippi.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 4600 Park Road Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
