Patricia Stanton

Patricia Jean Kerr Stanton (born November 17, 1941, passed away on May 27, 2023.

Pat was born in Harvey, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. She went to school there and later worked in advertising and as a restaurant manager. She married George Stanton in 1966 and they retired to Brevard in 2001. Pat supported many community gardening efforts through her active participation in French Broad Gardeners. She enjoyed volunteering with George at Brevard Music Center.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Richard Stanton of Watseka Il, his wife Martha and their three children; by her sister-in-law Ruby Kerr and her nephew Robert Michael Kerr of Chicago; also by cousins Brenda and Katie Slobig and Karen Gallagher of Homewood IL. George and Pat loved their mountain home in Brevard.
