Pauline Powell Anders Romans

Pauline Elizabeth Powell Romans, 80, of Rosman, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Terry and Lela Morgan Powell.

Of utmost importance to Pauline was being a part of her community. She had written community articles for the Transylvania Times over the years. Her favorite things to talk about were always God, her family and politics. She was active in both of her local churches, Old Toxaway Baptist and Rocky Bottom Baptist.

She enjoyed her gardens of flowers, but she loved having her family close by, especially during holidays where she wanted her house full of family. Everybody had to be at Grandma’s house for Christmas!

Her loving survivors include her husband, John Romans; her children Charles Terry Anders (Cindy) and Delynda Pearl Landreth (Joseph); her grandchildren: Megan Anders Weed (Daniel), Samatha Anders, Michael Anders, Lindsey Barton (Joe), Lane Henson (Megan), Emilee Parizo (Tyler), and Steven Landreth (Rose); great-grandchildren: Ben Parizo, Kelly Parizo, Kenny Landreth, Carson Joyce, Nolan Joyce, Ayla Barton, Kaydence Barton, Eloise Barton, Esmae Barton and Madi Henson; her sister Dorene Mahoney and her brothers Rickey Powell and Roger Powell (Colleen).

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on September 24, 2025. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon before proceeding to Middle Fork Cemetery for Graveside Services with Rev. Shaun Dodson ad Rev. Chris Owen officiating.
