Phil Leslie

Phil J. Leslie, 80, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. A Transylvania County native, he was the son of the late Gordon and June McCall Leslie. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Douglas P. Leslie.

A United States Air Force Veteran that served during the Vietnam era, he later retired from Ecusta after 40 years of service. He always loved being “on the go” especially when it meant going to see his friends at The Fish Camp or going deep-sea fishing from the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He really loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His loving survivors include his wife, Anna B. Leslie; their daughter, Kimberly Leslie Hall (Gregory); grandchildren: Brieanna Leslie, Cassie Leslie, Nathaniel Hall (Julia) and Sarah Owensby (Kane); his brother, Cecil Leslie; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held to honor and remember Phil Leslie.
