Phyllis L. Bryson

Phyllis Louise Bryson, 72, of Brevard, peacefully passed away while surrounded by her loving family at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock on Friday, July 10. 2026. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Guy Lance and Dorothy Waldrop Bryson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Lance Bryson, her daughter Amy Buchanan and son-in-law Garrett Buchanan;` and brother-in-law David Crane.

An avid gardener, she always had a smile on her face and was a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Her loving survivors include her daughter, Portia Tinsley (Chris); her sister, Carolyn Crane; grandchildren: Lauren, Tyler, Tony, Austin and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Lukas, Brynnlyn, Jax, Anniston and Landrie; and her loving partner for 38 years, Logan Siniard.

Arrangements for a celebration of her life will be announced in the coming days. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
