Raymond Mccants

Raymond Richard McCants, 73, of Brevard, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. A native of Asheville, he was the son of the late Charlie McCants and Ellen Williams McCants. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by five siblings.

A United States Navy Veteran, Mr. McCants was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Brevard. He was a loving husband and father and an avid golfer.

His loving survivors include his wife, Linda Mackey McCants; his sons Jeffrey McCants and Christopher McCants, both of Brevard; and his brother Robert "Doc" McCants of Asheville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services for Mr. McCants will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with Rev. Marshall Erwin officiating and military rites being presented by the United States Navy Reserve and the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
