Ruby Arlene Kruchek

Ruby Arlene Kruchek, 97, of Pisgah Forest, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Christopher and Mary Foster Petersburg. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Kruchek.

Best mom ever. She was a kind and dedicated mother and friend. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing and the Atlanta Braves, watching their games and keeping up with her favorite players. She cared for and supported her family in every way she could.

Her loving survivors include her daughter, Linda Ritzau (Paul) and her son Keith Kruchek; grandchildren: Laura Smiley, Danny Kruchek, Keith Kruchek (Lori) and Kimberly Kruchek; great-grandchildren: Autumn Smiley, Roger Smiley, Christopher Smiley, Timothy Smiley, Kameron Kruchek, Gabriel Kruchek, Hannah Rodriguez, Dustin Shepard, Juliana Shepard, Siarah Rodriguez and Kiene Mullaney; and great-great-grandchildren: Isabella Smiley and Zoe Kruchek.

Service arrangements will be announced in the coming days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 581 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC.
