Rue W. McKinney

Pisgah Forest - Rue W McKinney, 82, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC.

She was a daughter of the late Boyd and Maude Waldrop. She was preceded in death by a brother, Boyd Waldrop, Jr.

Mrs. McKinney was a member of Temple Baptist Church and worked in the Transylvania County School system for many years.

She is survived by her husband; Richard E. McKinney, four daughters; Yvonne Hogsed of Brevard, NC, Fay Cameron of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Millie Worley of Pisgah Forest, NC and Sheila Mann of Fort Smith, Arkansas, one brother; Walter Waldrop of Hot Springs, NC, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grand children.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church, Morris Road, Pisgah Forest, NC with the Pastor Charles Bratu officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00 PM-2:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
