Sheila Kay Tall

Sheila Kay Tall, 60, of Brevard, passed away on December 25, 2024. Born in Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Allen lee and Nancy Hoyle Lyons. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Lyons.

Known as “Mama Dukes” to many, she was easy to talk to, and she talked to everyone, but mostly she was a great listener. She was fiercely protective of those she loved and if she loved you, she left no doubt. She was tough and strong, competitive in many ways, she enjoyed challenges that she faced. But she loved her babies and especially her grandbabies.

Her loving survivors include her children: Nicole O’Connell, Jonathan O’Connell, Richard O’Connell and Brandon O’Connell; grandchildren Dakota Whittemore, Jonathan O’Connell, Jr., Caydance O’Connell, Julius Miller-Goldman, Victor Rivera and Aaden McLean; her brother David Lyons and her sister, Cynthia Lyons.

A graveside service for Sheila Tall will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 6, 2024 at Woods Cemetery in Balsam Grove.
