A native of Transylvania County she was the daughter of the late Lemuel Lloyd and Olivia Morris Daniels. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 73 loving years, Harold “Rooster” Siniard, sisters Helen Peeler, Carolyn Owen and Mary Ann Galyon, brothers-in-law Earl Peeler and Ted Owen, son-in-law Lynn Davis and niece Regina Cain.

She was a World War II veteran, serving for two years in the Navy WAVES, rising in the ranks to Master at Arms at Edenton NC. She always enjoyed a challenge and exceeded it when given a task.

She served her community after returning home in many different ways, but her favorite was her Gingerbread House Kindergarten where she loved, taught and nurtured all of her students. She was always so proud of them and their life accomplishments.

She was an avid artist under the direction of Henry Rogers and Robert Kensinger and her many gorgeous paintings are greatly treasured. She valued all people and took care of the people around her whether it was cooking a meal or providing for those in need. Telling her captivating life stories was one of her favorite things to do so she could share her experiences for generations to come.

She was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God for over 50 years.

Her loving survivors include her daughter Kathy S. Davis; Grandchildren Clay Davis (Becky), and Casey Davis (James); great-grandchildren; Cora Davis, Jaxson Davis and Colton Davis, nephews Steven Siniard (Barbara), Dan Galyon, Bryan Owen (Jennifer), niece Heidi Owen and brother-in-law Terry Cain.
