Thomas Mccall

Thomas Gaston McCall, Jr., 84, of Brevard, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019. A native of Brevard and Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Thomas G. and Bessie Owen McCall.

A graduate of Brevard high School, he was a United States Army Veteran before coming home and working for Olin Corporation for 31 years before retiring. During his retirement he took a job in the metal fabrication.

He enjoyed tying flies and fly fishing, and playing gospel music on his guitar; but he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Thomas "Tommy" McCall, III of Pisgah Forest and his daughter Sharon Stephens (Richard) of Maryville, TN; grandchildren: Eric Stephens (Maria), Traci Stephens Nowlin (Sean), and Zander Gaston McCall and great-grandchildren: Brady Stephens, Blake Stephens, Levi Nowlin and Makayla Nowlin.

Graveside Services with Military Rites will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest with Military Rites provided by the North Carolina National Guard and the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
