Velma Aarsund

Velma Loraine Aarsund, 82, of Brevard, passed away quietly on Friday, July 10, 2015 at The Brian Center in Brevard. A native of Cleveland County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Blanch Pierson Blanton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Dean Blanton and Fred Blanton and sisters Becky Wells, Janice Powell and Janet Blanton.
Her loving survivors include her husband, Kenneth O. Aarsund; sons Randy Lynn Aarsund of Charlotte, NC and Dale Reid Aarsund of Piedmont, SD; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers Ronnie Blanton of Cleveland County, NC., Gene Blanton of Boiling Springs, NC., and Donald Blanton of Morganton, NC., and sisters Joyce White of Cleveland County, NC., and Ann Ellis of Gaffney, SC.
Service times and arrangements will be announced at a later date.
