Vernon Woodring

Vernon Ray Woodring, 77, of Brevard, passed away on October 30, 2018 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Joseph Earl and Elise Golden Woodring. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Woodring and James Braxton Woodring and his son, Michael Woodring.
In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, traveling to Pigeon Forge, and spending time with his family.
His survivors include his brother Robert Woodring of Brevard; his sisters Louise Rogers (Bobby) of Easley, SC, Dorothy Ann Lail of Easley, SC, Bessie Teague of Liberty, SC, and Betty Hall of Pickens, SC; and son Matthew Ray Woodring.
A private burial will be held.
