Walter J Werner, III

Walter J. Werner, Jr., 57, of Brevard, passed away on November 15, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Ann Donnerstag Werner.

A strong-willed man who wanted to live life on his own terms, he was a father-figure to many. He was big on family and family traditions. A true “hair and metal” fan and loved Black Sabbath.

He went out of this world like he lived: a true warrior…with 3 proud sons.

He is survived by his sons: Walt Werner III (Gabrielle), D. J. Werner and Dustin Miller; grandchildren: Alyana Borgia, Wesley Werner and Wyatt Werner; life-long friend and brother from a different mother – Eric Christian.

Plans to celebrate the life of Walter Werner will be finalized in the coming days.
