William Craven

Rev. William Gail Craven, 78, of Brevard, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Oaks of Brevard. A native of Randolph County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William Dwight and Myrtice Bean Craven. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann Craven.
Rev. Craven is survived by his children: Pricilla Renfrow of Wilson, NC, Rosemary Godfrey of Sanford, NC, Jeff Craven of Brevard, NC, Jerry Craven of New Zealand, and Jon Craven of Alaska; grandchildren Marie Craven, Will Craven, Cheyenne Craven, Montana Craven, Sierra Craven, Dakota Craven, Laredo Craven, Sequoia Craven, Savannah Craven, Yukon Craven, Micah Renfrow, Stuart Renfrow, Emily Renfrow, Laura Renfrow and Elijah Godfrey; and her sisters Martha Fearington and Julia Way, both of Raleigh.
A service to honor Rev. Craven was held at Bethany Baptist Church in Brevard.
